SANITATION FACILITIES
1. The plant must be equipped with sanitary facilities made under plans that meet the requirements of engineering and hygiene.
2. The provision of water must be able to provide enough clean water fit
with production needs and comes from sources that meet requirements.
3. Water in contact with the products or surfaces in contact with products must be derived from the process water.
4. The pipe should be made to the design and size appropriate to the intended use, namely:
a. Drain the amount of water needed in production process.
b. Drain liquid waste from the factory.
c. To avoid contamination to the product, water supplies, equipment or other conditions are not sanitary.
5. There is no backflow from, or cross-contamination between piping systems that carry water process.
6. The hand washing facilities should be available in sufficient quantity, easily accessible and equipped with running water with appropriate temperature and used repeatedly. In addition, hand washing facilities should be equipped with a disinfectant soap, hand dryers tools (hand dryer) or tissue, trash can lids and a large mirror to enable workers to use work equipment correctly.
7. The water faucet should be able to protect the hand that has been washed from recontamination, namely the water tap regulating the amount of water that comes out automatically.
8. The hand washing facilities should be available at all entrances to the production room which requires workers to wash their hands.
9. The toilet facilities should be available in sufficient quantity is calculated by considering the highest amount of usage. Location toilet should be easily accessible by employees, and is located outside the production room to avoid contamination of the product.
10. tubs in the toilet should be higher than the closet to avoid the water back into the tub.
11. The toilet facilities should always be kept clean, so as not to be a source of odor and microbial contamination.
12. The toilet must be equipped with hand washing facilities, soap and disinfectant hand dryers.
