PEST CONTROL

Pest is the source of food contamination are high populations of its existence so that it must be ensured space and production environments free from pests and pest management should be done in the right way and safe. To control pest populations is done by using chemicals / trap up to an acceptable level of population. Integrated pest management is a system of prevention and treatment as a whole so that pests do not cause problems.

1. Implementation of handling problems and insect pests in PT Straw Mountain performed by the contract system together service providers Pest Control.
2. Pesticides and active ingredients used in the implementation of environmentally friendly Pest Control must be equipped with a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).
3. The company is doing the treatment and monitoring of pest and insect populations in the factory environment.
4. Type pests and insects are addressed include mice, lizards, cockroaches, butterflies, bees, ants and other insects.
5. Every employee has the right to monitor and report the problem to the Department regarding pest QA Officer or directly to the service provider company contracted Pest Control company.
6. The system of pest control is done to reduce pest populations in the factory environment. Fogging is done with the control system, Trap and Bait Station.
7. Responsible for pest control in PT Straw Mountain is the Quality Assurance Department.
8. Hygiene factory area must be maintained, the floor should be clean, there are no puddles, bins must be closed and garbage in it should be discarded.
9. There are no gaps or holes in the wall that can be a pest entry point into the production room.
10. Sewer water in the production room should be clean, covered and odorless.
11. Plants around the plant is not sealed to the production room, the grass must be kept short.
12. There should be no pets such as cats, dogs and others around the factory area.
13. Good hygienic measures should be taken to avoid the formation of an environment conducive to pests.
14. Around the inside and outside of food processing equipment should be kept clean. The materials are not used should be stored in sealed containers disinfectant.
15. Pests should be addressed immediately and should be done without creating a threat to food security.

16. The data monitoring pest control should be available.
1. All the materials used in the plant toxin must be labeled. Label contain detailed information on:

  •  m³ / solution in the container
  •  The percentage of material / solution
  •  The name and address of the manufacturer / distributor
  •  The sign / logo hazard warning as an ingredient that is toxic

2. Any material that is in the plant toxin must have MSDS to prevent misuse, particularly the use of harmful humans.

3. Storage of lubricants, pesticides and other toxic materials must be separated from the production area, storage should be done:

  •  materials stored toxins comes with a label that contains the complete information.
  •  Much of the material or equipment in contact with the product.
  •  Stored in a separate place, a dry and limited access

4. Use of the toxin: must follow the instructions for use according to the instructions of packaging

  • Ensure residual use of materials must be returned to storage
  • No toxic materials are stored or scattered outside storage area
  • toxin materials stored outside the storage area must be created in a concentration ready for use
5. Do not store the toxin material in the production room.
6. If found material without a label, QC Laboratory browsing, if not known, immediately inform the Supervisor QC Laboratory for examination and granting the status.
7. Materials toxin that has made a solution of the appropriate concentration of the instructions for use must be clearly labeled by the QC laboratory.
8. Materials toxins that are not labeled or labeled, but do not have clear information, transferred to the information available, or return it to the supplier by QC Laboratory Supervisor.
9. Storage of toxins that are not true, QC Laboratory should immediately move to a proper storage place.
10. Do not omit, swap the label attached to the toxin materials and repair damaged labels.
11. QC Laboratory ensure no personnel other than authorized personnel entering the toxin material storage area.
12. Procurement and purchase materials that are toxic should be done prior coordination with the laboratory.
